@Pantagrueliste I find one of our translations on 144r unclear:
Aultant en peulx tu faire a tous aultres animalets avecq de la graine de grand passevelours du petit et la graine de chou navette
You can do this as well with all other small animals, with the grain of large amaranth, the small one, and the grain of rapeseed
Can we do better? What is "du petit" referring to?
He's most likely referring to a sort of passevelours. The confusion partly arises from a mistranslation of the partitive articles "de la" and "de" as definite articles. So, yes we can do better if we slightly depart from the original structure:
with grain of large, small amaranth, and grain of rapeseed
alternatively, we can replace the partitives with "some" :
with some grain of large amaranth, small, and grain of rapeseed.
etc.
